In 1987, the Hoboken Bookclub was founded by Suzanne Van Houten and Nancy Pramuk.

Discussing contemporary fiction, the classics, and an occasional straddler (e.g., Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China, by Jung Chang), members meet monthly to critique novels. We encourage drama and passion.
